About our resin casting services

Resin casting is a versile manufacturing method useful in a variety of applications. We can make hard plastic products of any colour, or even rubber-like flexible parts.

What we call resin in the miniatures industry is usually a two part polyurethane resin. This is cast into a silicone mould where air is removed using vacuum and pressure. The result is an almost perfect replica of the original master with much fewer design limitations and upfront costs than injection moulding, the other main method of producing miniatures.

Resin manufacturing is a good option for

• Small and medium sized runs of miniatures

• High detail models

Even small runs resin production with us may be preferable over 3D Printing. The resin used in casting is more robust than most 3D printing resins. Less prone to breaking when shipping and worse, once painted and on the table! Most companies offering 3D prints intended for customers are printed at a lower resolution to create them at volume. With resin, one copy can be printed at full resolution with a premium material and copies made of that.
